KELLY BLANEY
Kelly is the daughter of Robert and Christine Blaney of South Hadley and has two brothers Brian and Jim and one sister Mariah. She is a graduate of South Hadley High School. While she was studying there, she participated in many clubs and sports including holding office as the President of Students Making a Change, while holding membership in National Honor Society as well as being an active member in the the Connections Program. She was the captain of the Varsity Indoor and Outdoor Track and Field teams and a member of the Basketball and Cross Country teams.
Kelly currently studies Communication Disorders at Springfield College where she participates in many campus activities such as the Student Alumni Association, the Management Club, the Women’s Rugby team and intramural basketball. She successfully balances her academics and athletics with her employment in the community maintaining four jobs at once. Kelly is an infant and toddler certified teacher at Rise and Shine Academy and provides excellent customer service at Ruggers, Class Grass Garden Center and Falls Driving School.
Kelly actively volunteers her time to many local organizations. She has been a CCD teacher at Saint Patrick’s Church and participated with the Youth Program at Springfield College. She has offered her services to local schools, Plains and Mosier Elementary Schools, in her hometown of South Hadley. Kelly has stepped forward to assist at the Rays of Hope Walk-a-thon and at the Knights of Columbus.
Kelly enjoys working with children and plans on becoming a speech-language pathologist. Upon graduating from Springfield College with a degree in Communication Disorders, she plans to attend graduate school.

COLLEEN BRESNAHAN
Colleen is the daughter of Patrick and Donna Bresnahan and has one brother Sean. She is a graduate of South Hadley High School. She was a member the of the cross country team for three years and received a Silver Award from the Girl Scouts. Art is a passion for her. Sara’s artwork has been entered into several contests as well as being published in the Republican.
Colleen currently attends Holyoke Community College where she focuses on her education. She has created an Irish Club on Campus, which is starting to gain members. Her ambition is that the club will grow and Colleen wishes to create an Irish mural in downtown Holyoke as one of their local community service activities including working with Kate’s Kitchen as well as cleaning up around Ashley Reservoir.
In the community, Colleen frequently serves at Kate’s Kitchen in Holyoke and Springfield. She is currently a 2ndgrade CCD teacher at Saint Francis of Assisi where she prepares the children to make their first communion. She works as a residential assistant at Berkshire Hills Musical Academy in South Hadley and also has been a leader for three years at the Vatican Bible School at Saint Theresa’s.
Colleen is planning to transfer to Lesley University where she would like to study Art Therapy and go on to graduate school. After completing her schooling, she would like to join the Peace Corps.

SARAH FERGUSON
Sarah is the daughter of Douglas and Ann Ferguson of Holyoke and has one brother Derek and one sister Stacey. She is a graduate of Holyoke High School. While she was studying there, she participated in many clubs and sports including holding offices as secretary of both the Spanish club and National Honor Society as well as being an active member in the Drama club, the Renaissance Program, Close Up and the Nursing Club. She was the captain of the Varsity Cheerleading Squad and won an award for being the “Most Spirited Cheerleader” at a Cheerleading Competition in 2008. She was also a member of the Varsity Outdoor Track Team. Sarah was recognized with the Wellesley College Book Award and several other scholarship awards for academic achievement and talented performance in extra-curricular areas.
Sarah currently studies and tutors Biology at Framingham State University where she maintains high honors as part of the FSU Honors Program, the Dean’s List and the President’s list while still participating in the Cheerleading Club, Alpha Lambda Delta – National Honor Society for first-year students, Foundations Peer Mentoring and the Wild Life Club.
Sarah has demonstrated an ability to achieve and still finds time to serve the community through many volunteer endeavors. As a life-long Girl Scout, she volunteers numerous hours and worked diligently to attain the Girl Scout Bronze, Silver and Gold Awards – a high achievement. In the community, she has been involved in charitable organizations including Toys for Tots, Shriners Hospital, the Brightside Gym Renovation and the 2010 Boston Marathon Jimmy Fund Walk.
Sarah enjoys traveling and in her immediate future plans on volunteering and travelling abroad to Tanzania in the Summer of 2011. Upon graduating from Framingham State University with a degree in Biology, she plans to further her education by pursuing a higher degree and focusing on a career in Forensic Pathology and Science.
KATHY SARA-MICHALINE GLENN
Kathy is the daughter of Douglas and Dale Glenn of Holyoke. She is a senior at Cathedral High School where she is a member of the Varsity basketball and field hockey teams. She also enjoys coaching and refereeing basketball.
Colleges against Cancer is a cause that Kathy has been involved with. On campus, she takes advantage of Beta Alpha Psi to network and volunteer. She has worked in the Finance department at United Bank this past summer and currently works at CVS Pharmacy in Easthampton.
Kathy was recruited to attend Anna Maria College in the fall of 2011. She plans to study secondary education with a focus on English. She has ambitions of joining the coaching staff at Anna Maria College
